Great Pyrenees 16 Month 2012 Calendar. The first Pyreneans to be kept as pets had rather assertive, warrior-like personalities. In recent years, breeders have been very successful in diminishing this characteristic, whilst at the same time retaining other, attractive qualities, such as patience, nobility and courage.
It is believed that this breed is one of the last great white guarding mastiffs which spread throughout Europe and this particular breed is thought to be related to the Italian Maremma, Hungarian Kuvasz, and Turkish Karabash.
