Irish Wolfhound 16 Month 2012 Calendar. Originally the Irish Wolfhound was used by the Celts to hunt wolves. It is believed that these majestic dogs were transported to Ireland by the Romans where the dog has remained present for over 2,000 years.
In the latter half of the 19th Century the breed had been successfully recreated, using stock related to the ancient Wolfhound.
